Brooklyn Knights Youth Sports Association
Greetings,
Welcome to the home of the Brooklyn Knights Youth Sports Association. The Brooklyn Knights is a non-profit organization which was started for the purpose of instilling and stressing the importance of physical fitness, team work, discipline, sportsmanship and education in today’s youth through team sports, specifically football, basketball and cheerleading. We are based in Prospects Heights and we are serving children in the Bedford Stuyvesant and North Crown Heights areas as well.
We are currently in the process of fielding five divisions for our upcoming season. For football and Cheerleading our ages are 7 to 14 for boys and girls.
Regarding our basketball program, this is for boys and girls, ages 10 to 14. Our basketball program competes in local tournaments as well as on the national level AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) sanctioned tournaments.
As part of the Brooklyn Knights experience, our goal is to have the children participate in two community service-related projects/educational field trips per year, with the goal of broadening their minds and to become more acquainted with what’s happening in their own communities. We have volunteers who have years of experience in community service and who would like nothing more to demonstrate the value and the need to be an active part of the community.
